Has this ever happened to anybody else on here.
When I start the 1983 RX7 12A this pipe is resonating acoustically
so loud you can here it with the air filter on and the hood closed.
When I put my thumb over the hole to seal it the noise goes away.
It appears to be sucking air for some strange reason. Does
anybody know what this particular pipe and air intake are for?

It does not do it all the time and seems to go away after the car
is driven for awhile.

Is that the source of air for the air pump? I think on the second gens the
airpump also draws air from the air filter.
