Here is an example of a Continental IO-550 dynafocal bed mount.
Note the over size tubing. This accommodates local minor bending 
loads. The assembly below the pan is quite stiff to accept
the nose gear landing loads. It does double duty and stiffens
the rectangular bay holding the four rubber mounts.
Also the pivot tube for the nose gear will add additional
stiffness to this structure.

Note also the diagonal tube triangulating the rear bay
and providing overall lateral support to the engine mount. Pointed
to by the green arrow.

Since this engine is not geared the CG of the engine/prop is about 
near the center of the engine and the four rubber mounts.

Never the less some reliance is placed on local bending of the tubes
so it remains to be seen if this mount is totally satisfactory over
the long term.
