George,
 Add three tooling pads (ears) to your pattern. This makes it easy to
target, clamp and machine without distortion from clamp pressure.

Larry,
I've already had that request from the machinists - but thanks for
reinforcing that strategy.
Their concern was the need for clamping places to mill the back side in one
operation without having to move clamps - moving clamps is all extra time
and extra operations - at $80 an hour.
Of course this creates another problem concerning placement  and the foundry
process, which means I may need to pour from the face - Ah well. just
another problem!
