Phil, If tubing is referred to as hot or cold rolled they are referring to
the steel that is rolled into a cylinder and seamed,
(welded) to make a pipe. For the items we would make from steel,
(motor mounts, engine parts, etc.), NEITHER is a good tube to
use although generally cold rolled and seamed tubing is better
grade. The ONLY tubing for us is seamless which is usually DOM
tubing. DOM stands for drawn over mandrel. There is no weld
in this tubing. It is formed over a solid rod and then removed.

      Did some research and found it. What grade would be of  "aircraft"
quality.
