That would be the MVA Motorsports car designed by Marcos Acosta.   Not
sure
how "viable" it is as a daily driver but they did shoehorn the thing in
there.

I'll say one thing about the RX8. It is the sports car bargain of the 
century. I hustled it down my favorite South Mountain road at obscene
velocities today. Good thing Ernesto was not lurking around :)
The RX8 is worth twice what you pay for it. That is what you would have
to pay for an equivalent Porsche or Corvette and I am not even sure 
the Porsche could keep up with it.

I also figure out a little more about why the steering is so great.
The computer "locks up" (for lack of a better term) the steering rack when
you are going straight. This removes the tendency of rack and pinion
steering to bump steer the car. As soon as you touch 
the wheel the steering is unlocked again. I am exaggerating but basically
it works something like that to a degree. It is the best of both worlds.
It has the non reverse characteristic of the old worm gear steering 
with the excellent feel of rack and pinion.
