Here is something that might work to test different intake
systems.

Fill the large cardboard box with styrofoam packing popcorn.
These will be used to simulate large air molecules.
The smaller the pop corn the better.

Start the industrial vacuum cleaner with the port closed.
Turn on the motor with the rotating disk and time how
long it takes to empty the cardboard box of styrofoam 
pop corn. Relate the length of the intake manifold section
to the RPM of the electric motor. You will need a high
speed motor capable of several thousand RPM. Some drill 
motors might work. Other wise tuned pipes will be very long.

Now you can try different pipe diameters and lengths.

You could also build a Mazda DEI system out of cheap plastic tubing
and use a large Y in back of the disk. Each branch  simulating
a rotor.

Much cheaper and much quicker than building a bunch of intake
manifolds.
