Subject: Two cycle oil in the fuel

The current plan is to use a metering pump adapter from PCV Technologies,
along with a remote mounted resevoir on the plug side for the apex

One thing I am curious about though, Hayes built the engine with all four of
the apex oil lines going into the two nipples on the block, instead of two in
the manifold and two into the block. They were aware of the intent to use
the Weber carb. Any thoughts on this?

Why not just mix the two cycle oil with the fuel? Much safer.

It will also lube the seals better as it will distribute
itself better in the rotor housing.

With two-stroke oil added to the fuel I was concerned with:

1. The possibility of the oil settling out of the gas when the craft sits
for a period of time.

2. Possible increased difficulties in repairs of leaks due to porosity in
the fiberglass. Perhaps it would make no difference.

3. The hassle of mixing every time the plane is fueled.

Wag your wings a couple of times before you start the engine :)
People have been using two cycle oil in the rotaries's fuel for decades.
George Graham forgot to put two cycle oil in and flew from
Tennessee back to Buffalo NY as I recall. Apparently no real
harm to the engine.
