What you don't want is a cantilevered load on those front cover ears
as the force could rip them off. Keep the square tubing in there as
close as possible.
Here is a modification of one of your pictures to illustrate what
I am talking about.
Feed the load right into the bottom of the square tube.

That looks real good. That should work great
assuming the drawing is a back view. If it is a top view not so fine.
It will still have too much leverage on the cover ears. The strut can be angled
forward to come up under the square tube. No problem.

The beauty of this whole MM idea is the engine thrust line up or down angle
can be adjusted (assuming the use of left and right hand thread ball joints)
to optimize the speed of the aircraft. This in effect is a copy of the
Questair Venture motor mount. It is common for the Questair owners
to adjust the thrust line using this method.
