Both peripheral ports and side ports. Lots of potential for
staging the ports to get the best of both worlds. Smooth
running at low speeds and high HP at high speeds.

Yes Mark,
all the machining on the engine was done on my CC and old South Bend lathe.
I will do it that way until the components are proven configuration.
The stand offs on the PTO end are individual parts no, but the next
configuration will be of one piece with additional mods reducing the number
of individual parts.
