Jack Yamaguchi sent me these pictures. Looks like the VAZ engine is
an exact copy of the Mazda 3 rotor except the Russian used carbs.

If the car looks like a Fiat police car it should. VAZ built Fiats
in Russia under license and called them VAZ's :)

Ops! correction the police car was made by Lada and not VAZ. VAZ made the engines.
