I certainly know I can't design one. Do you have any recommendation as to
which VW system would be a good place to start stealing? I would really
like to try this in a single rotor test bed.

Hey Fred - the '96 and '97 VW Passat and '96 on Golf, Jetta, and New Beetle
with the TDI engines use a common pump and four injectors.  Late '03 and all
'04 TDIs have the PD engines with separate injector/high pressure pump units
for each cylinder.  The pump/injector units are cam-driven.  FMI check out
