     I can't say much for the engine design but the direct injector set up is called a
     Bosch Unit Injector. Off the shelf.  Same as used on this German Wankel GMBH engine.

Very interesting guys. First Lynn, the engine design is a dyna-cam 
without the cam. There are several opposed piston 2 cycle diesels, 
including a new european engine designed for aircraft. It uses twin 
opposed cranks. I always though that one cool thing you could do with 
one of these engines is to attach each crank to a separate output shaft 
for countra-rotating propellers. Second Paul, Interesting that the early 
Wankel shown uses only 1 plug. plumbing seems neat though. One of the nice 
things is if we used a standard spark ignition earlier injection would 
lower the needed fuel pressure. Stratified charge could easily be set up. 
We have really only scratched the surface of all the things that can be 
done with the rotary. Bill Jepson
