What say you to the usefulness of a 70mm throttle body for a turbo 3
rotor? What size is ideal? Seems I remember some discussion on this
previously.

In an aircraft with Tracy's computer any pressure drop across the
throttle
body is a loss of power. The bigger the better up to the point where
you cannot measure the pressure drop. I guess around 100 mm to be that
point.

Paul;
I'm under the impression that one limitation on " bigger the better" is
throttle control at transition from idle to power, and at low throttle
setting because very small movement of a large butterfly results in big
change in airflow. Now I realize that this is out of the flight regime
on a plane, but we still have to idle and taxi, etc, at low power
setting. Or was I unduly influenced by David Atkins concerns in this
regard?

I think that is mainly a response time issue in the EFI controller. If I jam
the throttle open in my carb O-470 it stumbles too.
That can also be over come with a bit of thought given to the throttle linkage.
BTW Dave hates Tracy Crook. "stole all my ideas!" :)
