I call this traction propulsion. This consist of two large diameter
tubular rotating carbon fiber spars driving a thin rubber belt
with a lot of long thin aluminum hat section cleats attached.

It becomes 100% efficient at high speeds and skin friction drag
on the lower wing skin is eliminated. Normal flaps and ailerons
are used. The propeller and PSRU are eliminated.

The 13B turbo rotary engine transversely  buried in the fuselage
drives both rotating spars with a long cog belt.

There are a few technical problems to overcome but nothing your money can't fix.

The first flight is scheduled for 2nd quarter 05.
