together. The tighter the better the weld finish job will be.

rolling a piece of mat. to make the muffler body bend the edges in a little

not have flat spots left in it by the roller not being able to curve the
last 1" of the mat.

3. For welding wire use the approved type of mig.
welding wire. The reason being you can get it in small spools of .040.
It is easyer to weld .040 with .040 than say 1/16". The larger wire cools
the welding puddle down too fast and you deposit too much mat.

4. Clean off
all cutting burrs and sharp edges. When you cut mat. with a cut off wheel
or bandsaw you have contaminations to deal with.Clean then up.Remember

you are tig welding .040 mat you do not have that much of a chance to go
back and do it right the second time and it's very easy to blow a hole
