I'm sure that this has been discussed ad infinitum here, but I've been thinking about the wisdom of installing 3 mm apex seals in my engine. I've already got
it built up, but a few people have stressed that the weak point of my engine is the 2mm apex seals. It's a 93 13BREW, but normally aspirated. I'm putting a
2.85/1 redrive on it. Since it's already built with all new stock 2mm seals and all the other oil scaper rings etc, any opinions as to whether I ought to
undertake a conversion to 3 mm seals?

3 mm are good insurance against detonation caused  fracture if you are running  turbo.
If not they are unnecessary.
