Francisco Ianetti in NC is selling super smooth and super hard Si
Nitride
(I think) ceramic apex seals that have a more or less unlimited life
for about
$1100 a set of six.

This is the same stuff used in turbo charger ball bearings and high
speed
machine tool ball bearings. Projected life in gen set rotary engines
is
20,000 to 30,000 hours. Here are some properties.

Okay Paul,

Here's a question. If a rotary motor was made completely from ceramic,
could
we eliminate the coolant system all together? We'd still need oil
coolers of course.

Only cost a couple of billion to find out. :) Would you like to make an
investment? :)
Perhaps we can talk Bill Gates into investing in the program since he
is now worth
1% of the US gross national product. Only Rockafellor(s?) Standard Oil
had
a higher percentage of the US gross national product back in 1890's
before
anti trust laws.

I would love to be in a position to make an investment. :)
