Hi Guys;

It was nice to see, meet and converse with some of you during my brief attendance at
S-N-F from which I was abruptly yanked out of due to business constraints (Linda is
still an unhappy camper over it as I had promised her we would be spending a week in
Naples after S-N-F)....But a couple of days was a hell of a lot better than 0 (zero)
days :)

Francois sorry to hear about your heating woes, and not get a chance to meet you in
person.

Ian, I'm very happy that you were able to write to us personally of your terrible
mishap, and we didn't have to read about it from somebody else...Seems like your bird
served you well even to the end by sacrificing itself to save your and yours'
lives....You need to get back on a steed again....Let me (us) know if we can help in
any way.

An update on the LAEV:

After being on the shelf wrapped awaiting testing for about a year and a half, (My
goodness, how time flies), it's finally going to happen....Here's the skinny on how
Paul has been relieved from that duty.....At last years S-N-F unveiling of the prop,
I met a couple of gentleman that showed a tremendous amount of interest and enthusiasm
for it and spent a great deal of time with me asking sensible questions....By not
seeing or hearing of any activity since, they took it upon themselves to "Track" me
down and finally wrote to Paul (ACRE) and we connected. We are presently in the midst of working this out and it looks like we'll soon be back on track (They have presently a
13B TURBO & a 20B) I don't need to add that this is very good news for everybody and especially for Paul, Perry, Bill Freeman and myself personally....Also met with Ed Anderson
to make doubly sure that I still had a Test Pilot and Steed....I will keep everybody posted.

Aluminum Housings:

While it may appear that I had a "Senior Moment" by accidently sending an e-mail
yesterday to ACRE instead of to George Lendich directly as usual, so for vanity
reasons and to set the record straight, I take exception and state that it must have
been due to the "Turbulence" which I experienced in the limo I was working out of
while en-route to ya-ya land, and NOT my age :)
So under the circumstances and due to my screw-up in suddenly barraging and confusing
all of of you with the contents of the e-mail, (Thinking you missed this thread),
it would only be fair to further bring you up to date on this behind the scenes vast
undertaking....
As George briefly stated on ACRE, we have teamed up to explore various possibilities
to further the cause of the Rotary Movement, the aluminum housings being one of
them.....Needless to say there are predominantly two (2) ways to tackle the Rotors'
wearing surface dilemma, to treat the wear surface of the actual Al housing by
various methods (1pc), or by installing a replaceable insert (2pc)....We've chosen to
explore the 2pc Insert concept as it makes the most sense since it requires readily
affordable available materials and existing industry methods...What you see in the
drawing is an example model of many yet to come of an Insert which will be fabricated
and tested. As stated, this design is based on empirical data provided to me from
Down-Under. I don't need to add that George is up to his A-S in work between this,
the PSRU and the Bellhousing which he's well along on and doing a very profesional job,
making the Bellhousing priority one, so don't worry, George and I have a lot of things in
common and one of them is finishing what we start, regardless ;)
Please bear in mind that this is a BIGGIE of a job, it's going to to take quite some time
to accomplish yet, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them, as there's always the possibility it may wind up being another quest for the Holy Grail.

Mike McGee's Front cover Dynafocal mount Combo:

Mike not only is this an excellent idea of a project, it's quite DO-ABLE as well, but
it's also bound to yield countless side products as well. Here's my brief comments which have nothing, nada to do with the actual project's engineering:

-I would first concentrate all my efforts, R&D etc on the presently numerously used
13B (RX7) which is what we all have on hand at the moment at various stage of
completion and wouldn't mind one bit replacing an end housing or so, and not on the
Renesis 13B (RX8), as I don't envision too many of us throwing what we have on hand
for a yet un-affordable, unattainable and really un-proven aircraft engine, in a nut
shell the numbers aren't there yet. Plus you can always come up with a Renesis model
down the line much easier by borrowing from the first.

-Try your best to keep the Water pump a separate component from the housing, or
design a COMPLETE removable Water pump cartridge (Impeller seat and all) that can be
replaced in its entirety by Un-BOLTING it from the Housing (Quite do-able).

That's it for now Guys.
