That silicone is REAL soft Al. Get some and try it?
The clamps I recommend above are 5/8" wide.
Good point on the separating force. 30 PSI is 53 pounds.

I have some. I used the 3-ply reinforced silicone coolant hose for the
larger diameter, and the single ply nylon reinforced silicone heater hose
for, you guessed it, the heater hose.
I found the single ply to be quite soft, but my impression of the 3-ply
was
that it is quite firm and very strong.
I have 9/16 standard worm drive clamps on that I had on hand for testing,
but intend to get 5/8" clamps before I fly, and will probably go with the
Breeze clamps you suggest. I didn't leave room for double clamps, but I
don't think it necessary with the rigid plumbing that can't really go
anywhere.

Looks like the same hose I have. Did not see the ply mentioned but I must
have the single ply hose because it is so soft. You do nice work AL.
Now if I could only find some 1-1/2 inch dia tubing bends around .050 wall.
Ed Klepies turned me on to a place that had cheap tubing bends but the walls
were
too thick to bead easily. I could get a bunch made if enough of you needed
some.

McMaster sells both types, (both on p. 201); 'silicone coolant hose' has
3-ply woven polyester; and only comes in 3 and 12 ft lengths. It's about
$12/ft. The other is 'Silicone rubber heater hose' and has 1-ply nylon and
is sold by the foot. The single ply should be fine for us up to about 5/8
or 3/4 dia; but for larger, we need the 3--ply. That may be what you have.
I got some 1-1/4 in the single ply but I think I will replace it. Anybody
need some 1-1/4"? I'll buy a 3' length and we can share. Or maybe I'll
just keep it on hand to change out the hoses in about 5 years.
I think I got all my tube bends from Burns. The 1-1/2" was .058 wall, as I
recall, and the beader I had worked fine. Cheapest way to go is to get the
180 U-bends and cut them as needed. Of course I'm fortunate to have a very
talented welder nearby.

Burns is REAL expensive. I think I can do it for half their cost and make
some of these pipes in one piece.
Yes that is my problem. No welder. Here is what I am working on for the
fly able hardware. I have taken the expansion tank out of the large
diameter plumping circuit to simplify it and connected it to the rad with AN-10.
The pressure cap is on the inlet side of the pump to keep the pressure
throughout the system as high as possible.
I think I might be able to bend soft 1-1/2 OD tubing by hand with a 1-3/8 OD .177 wire
extension spring inside to prevent collapsing. The spring is 14 inches long.
McMaster part number 9640K261 $14. Getting the spring out after bending
is the big unknown. Perhaps a come along will do the job.
