George, in a msg to this list about 3 years ago Paul Yaw suggested

a 1.5" dia PPort for a conservative beginning and thought that this would
yield

     ~200 HP in a 13b.  His assumption was that we would build multiple

engines until we found the best combination for aircraft (afterall, HE can
build

     one in a couple of hours probably).

That is a good idea. We should have a build a rotary contest at Sun & Fun

workshop.

Thanks for that information again, I had kept it and studied it.
I might say I can't blame you not wanting to discuss it in degrees, I much
prefer to discuss distance from centre - it's just everyone else wants to
discuss it in degrees.

I know Paul was on the site some years ago, I might ask him what he thinks.

It's not that I must know it all, but I have to do everything myself because
of costs.

For example I purchased some clutch plates, to the value of $18 US - they
landed in Australia costing me $68.00 Aust. I asked them to mark them
Aircraft parts so I didn't have to pay import duty and the small sum didn't
(for a change) attract GST. So just imagine how much things cost from the US
with import duty GST, exchange rate (on a good day )  postage etc.
So you see it's not because I want to it's because I HAVE TO KNOW
EVERYTHING - it's because I can't afford not to know it all.
You chaps are lucky you have everything at your fingertips.

Well If I were doing it I would scale the LeMans ports down to the same
relative size for the 12A.  About 10%. So if the Lemans ports are 
about 1-3/4" in diameter the 12A ought to be about 1-1/2" in diameter.
