The Le Rhone rotary has reciprocating connecting rods
therefore it is
not a true rotary like the wankel.

Paul, That is incorrect. The LeRhone rods don't reciprocate the crank is 

fixed to the firewall and the engine rotates.

Yes I am well aware of that.

The CG of the connecting rods reciprocate back and fourth and up and down never the less.

Further more the valves reciprocate.
