I like this idea of waste gate pipe.

He  is going to need to clearance the lever that moves the waste
gate and add a 3/4 inch spacer between the turbo and the waste gate
cover. This spacer can be laser cut out of 3/4 inch thick mild steel
plate. He won't be able to get a die grinder in there to port
the waste gate passages until the waste gate valve is fully
open to 90 degrees.

Also a 1/2 inch hole (for a start) can be drilled in the panel between the exhaust scroll
and the waste gate chamber. This of course permanently modifies the turbo
and makes it useless for other applications.
