For the past 60 or 70 years aeronautical engineers have steadily strove
to move the prop away from the engine for lower drag.
This is the latest attempt. It is the custom CS Hartzell prop
on the Nemesis NXT with the built in prop extension.
I like the way Charlie Airesman did it better with  his carbon
fiber extension. BTW this spinner is 19 inches in diameter
and the aluminum blade tips are about a 3% airfoil section.
I am sure the blades have a life expectancy of about 30 minutes.
