Paul, Ed and I are going to combine forces on the P port intake
manifold.. The intake tubes will run across the top of the engine
and
turn down 90º on both sides. On the cool side, there will be an
aluminum block drilled for the injectors. The block will be welded to
the runners . The runners will terminate in a removable (to get at
the
spark plugs) box that will contain the air cleaner. Ram air will come
through a scat hose from an opening in the nose. The box will be in
front of the spark plugs.
This is beyond our cad ability. Could you look at it in Rhino and
could you do a measured drawing of the injector block? We will have
that part subbed out to a machine shop.
Attached are two photos. One, Ed is standing by a table with some
of
his exquisite products. He is holding a cabin heater that will work
with any water cooled engine. On the back side is a 12V fan. The
second picture is of a motorcycle built by Ed's friend. It is street
legal. The outriggers are deployed at stops. Also features ballast
that moves to help balance and cornering and a Chevy V-6 for power.
A real engineering and fabricating accomplishment in my opinion. The
builder is now thinking a p ported rotary might replace the chevy.

Hey I like that motor cycle. The landing gear can be hooked to the
speedometer. All it needs now is a nice streamlined carbon fiber body.
When you build the p-port manifold keep the runners down tight on top
of the rotor housings as a lot of airplanes have cowl clearance
problems.

Hi Jerry
Sorry I have been out of communication, I have been busy settling into
my summer job. Attached are some pics of the CF manifold I am designing
to fit Jerry's PP. Nothing in the design is sent in stone so everybody
feel free to send comments. The plenum is placed so as not to interfere
with spark plug removal and currently has a volume of 1 liter. The
plenum intake can be towards the front or back of the engine. The
length of the runners is 21.5 in. With the PP TB and runners the total
intake length is 25.7 in. On each runner 1 fuel injector will be placed
near the TB and 1 near the plenum. Instead of fuel rails I would use the
Electromotive Injector Cap Assembly which has AN-4 fittings on top.
That?s all I can think of for the moment.

The runners are too long Alex for 7500 RPM.
