Dave, I was looking through the Racing Beat catalog
and noticed the 1974 to 1988 counter weights have different part numbers
than the 1989-1995. I think you may have a 1986 to 1988 or 1974 to 1985
counter weight.

Paul, it is possible that you are right. Though I can't immagine the putting the wrong one on.
My spare engine is getting ported right now. After that is done I will get one of the 89-91 counter weights and bring it to someone to balance it. Remember that the RB guy said that new ones don't have any balance holes drilled. I will also install the 2-piece apex seals when I rebuild it.
After that is done I will swap out the engines. Probably won't happen for more than a year.

I know it is extra money but I recommend the 3 mm two piece seals. You never know.
One out of the four injectors could suddenly fail causing a lean condition resulting
in detonation and 2 mm seal fracture.
