That is a good idea to start numbering the posts. Now if I can only get the
past posts out of Outlook Express and into some sort of database I can start
finding the items I want. Have any suggestions?

Don't count on my numbering system as it is just an aid when dealing with flaky
ISP's like Earthlink.
I use Netscape 4.7 email program which has a built in search engine.
You can search for key words in the body of the text or by subject or by
sender or by status or by priority or by age in days or by to or by CC or
by the phase of the moon. You can search any folder under local mail.
You can also sort messages by another raft of parameters.
Having said that I don't recommend NS 4.7 (very buggy) but I am almost sure
other email programs like Internet Explorer or Mozilla can do something
similar. Mozilla is probably available for the Mac as the late Mac OS is
just Linux with a custom GUI.
