Have you or any of your friends got any experience with the Barnes pumps?
They have a nice LOOKING lobe style pump that I am interested in. Thanks

I did not see a three section pump in the line, but they might make one for
you.
The five section pumps are used on V-8s, where they recover scavenge oil from
the sump in two places, the rear of the right valve cover and the right side
of the valley to keep spent lifter oil from falling onto the crank.

The three tooth gears looks like a bad idea from the pressure pulse peaks
might be off the scale. Aluminum coolers have the short fatigue life of aluminum.

The iron or steel pressure section looks like a very good idea. I may do that
the next time my Peterson splits open.

I have never seen a Barnes pump. The model powered by the camshaft are
usually found on sprint cars. I would not put the new rectangular Peterson on
anything that requires reliability.
