I think somebody is doing an Osprey on here. As I recall it takes
an O-320 which
is heavy enough to be replaced by a rotary. Where is it and how
much? I am tempted :)

I got 1300 water hrs flying in a coot and I would never fly an
Osprey on or off the water, they are just to small and they like to
catch the nose and flip over.
There was a guy in Idaho that had a 12a in an Osprey but he sold it
but I don't know where it went, that guy said that it was very
dangerous on the water and wish he never built it.
There was a guy that I met up in the San Juan islands that had one
to fly around the islands as he liked the security of a boat under
him over all that water but he said that he would never use it as a
seaplane as it was very poor handling on the water.
On the water bigger is better as its more stable, if its a small
plane it better land dam slow and the Osprey is way to hot on landing
and and takeoff for that small of a plane.
If anyone wants one real cheep there is one at the FBO in Astoria OR.
