How long are those intake runners in that layout?

I am considering changing to an RD-1C drive (2.85:1) and I think that my
wrap over manifold was more appropriate to the 2.17 to one ratio. The
wrap
over manifold requires modifying the upper cowl to get clearance. So if,
with the 2.85 I can get a manifold on the engine's left side, maybe I
canpull air from a snorkel on the lower cowling, and have the injectors
on
the individual pipes.

15 to 18 inches.  I need to adjust them as soon as I get more dimensions
on the
strake. Are you thinking of trading in your PSRU for a 2.85:1?
