David "Beagle" Orr made an emergency landing in CA due to engine
seizure.
He and his passenger are all right. Here's the story:

He is the lawyer working for Mazda USA that is causing all the
trouble about Mazda rotary engines in airplanes. Poetic justice in spades
:)

David is a great guy (and ex-Air Force pilot). He has been very helpful and
encouraging to me. He told me that at one time he was thinking about the
rotary as an aircraft power plant. He had one and was talked out of putting
it in his Long-ez that he built. His job at Mazda entails protecting the
company from frivolous law suits. The stories he tells...the things people
sue for are crazy! David is not a bad guy.

He sent me some nasty email. Or was it in person at SZP when he was visiting
Klause?
