More expensive than a butterfly but considering what a turbo
would cost in terms of weight and expense P-ports are bargains.

Works much better than a butterfly. Uses four cheap 1/4 inch OD
ball bearing from Stock Drive Products. Ball bearings
are necessary as when the throttle is suddenly closed suction
in the intake runner can cause a slide throttle to stick.

The pocket does not have to be milled out of a billet.
could be laser cut from sheet stock in three pieces. Front cover
back cover and spacer.

Since there is one slide throttle  per intake runner cost can be 
cut by a quantity order of all the pieces.
