Do you know what Everett used for wear surfaces on his Al. end housings?

BTW, I will seriously consider the RB Al. end housings when I get to a
flight
version of my 6.5 B but I would prefer your steel wear surface version and
was disappointed when your potential supplier backed out. How many $/lb.
of weight saving are Al. end housings worth - I don't know. It will
probably
depend on how the Osborn comptroller (wife) feels when I get to that stage.

No I don't but some friends have told me, that have built all aluminum
rotaries, detonation gun coating is the only thing worth a damn. It is also
what Mazda used on the Le Mans engine. It is an expensive process as it must
be diamond ground after the coatings are applied.
