     Bill, I worked as a mechanic in a Suziki shop in the early 70's while I was in college.  Suzuki's used to inject oil to the left side crank main bearing and also directly into the intake
     tract right after the carb.  There was a standpipe to diffuse the oil.  Just trivia, but another way of doing it.  I wonder if this would work for FI?
