I don't know why the rotary is  so unfortunate to attract these

kinds of people. The company info is obviously an appeal for

stock

sales.

I do not think he will get far enough, nor last long enough to give the
rotary
a black eye. The plane is obviously no where near ready for flight, and
the perfomance claims are obviusly vapor ware with no real computations
to back it up. Your calculations are little better. 270 hp would of course
be sea level max not cruise at altitiude, where  he is using true wish craft
for
drag and efficiency. As noted the use of ducts is more wish craft - the
basic
plane is pretty clean, and with a conventional drive system might be close
to 300mph with an engine that was 270 hp at sea level, and he might
possibly get 30 mpg at an economy cruise - I am sure the NXT could
come close to that - try your X-sim with those kind of optimistic
assumption- but it won't happen! - so sleep well - Vance
