Great price for a ball bearing, water cooled, built in waste gate turbo.
What's not to like.

How about fitting it? Do they sell ready made adapters?
Bulent
You will probably have to have a adapter plasma cut from 1/2 inch steel
plate.
If you have your stock turbo there send me a sketch of the bolt pattern
done in MS Paint. My 91 is up at the hangar. I have an 89 here but the bolt
pattern is different. I'll draw an adapter for you.

Never mind. I found a dwg. Here it is for comparison.
I'll work on a drawing.

Thanks Paul. I have a laser cutting place close by.

I am amazed the GT28 is a so much smaller flange than the T3. Must be some major
advances in aerodynamics. We could use the next size up ball bearing unit but
it does not have a built in waste gate. This turbo is probably considerably lighter
than the T3. Get the bolt patterns off the other dwg's I just up loaded.
Use eight flat head screws. 10 mm ought to be about right for the Mazda manifold
but I don't have the hole sizes on the GT28 flange. You might get away making this
from 3/8 steel plate. Supposedly the the ball bearing unit is ten times more
durable than the old plain bearing turbos according to Garrett.
Should take less lube oil supply as well with fewer drain back problems
but I am not sure about that. They may keep the oil supply up for
cooling purposes.
