I came across a picture some weeks ago from the ADAMS tandem twin. The only
thing I remember is the intake scoops for the pusher engine. They reached
way out into the air, apparently to avoid the turbulence typical in that
area of the fuslage. Especially on lower airspeed, the air flow into the
scoop may be drastically reduced. I don't have any analytical numbers, but
if I had to deal with the problem I would start out with at least 2" beween
the inner wall of the scoop and the fuselage. A flow pattern simulation, if
you can find one, would be of great help on that.
Sorry for not having come up with that earlier, but things are some times
moving too fast for me to keep up with.
