  I control my mixture on my Weber with an air ram, the two ram tubes

  In cruise I can open the ram until the rpm peaks and then when it
drops I know that I am on the lean side of peak and the close it

  Also note that my plane only cruises at about 100 mph so you guys
with a faster plane will get more ram effect and more leaning effect,
on my plane the leaning lever is wide open at 16,000 ft
  I am also going to play with an air bleed system that is used on
snowmobiles that uses Venturi vacuum to change the float bowl
pressure.
