down, I will try removing the ram air scoop and installing a
NACA scoop
with a hose to bring air directly to the throttlebody, and not dump
it into the low pressure area of the cowling.  If that
fails, I think I will take up fishing or golf.

hi Paul,   hang in there, ive tried both, but i am not realy alive
till i
lift those wheels off the ground. nothing can replace that airplane,
take care walt.

Sealing is all important. It was the main subject of my forum at Sun & fun
this year.

Do we have a picture of your cowl showing the shape?  I couldn't find one.

I would look at putting the hose to the throttle body first. If you are
dumping ram air behind the radiator, it is slowing down you flow through the
radiator. You have two different purposes here, one to put ram air pressure
to the throttle body and two to maintain a low pressure are aft of the
radiator. If you are dumping that high pressure air for the throttle body
into that area, you are defeating your purpose.
