Sounds like a real possibility.  A local Rotary shop here in Auckland thinks
they can put a Renesis together from parts for about the same amount.  Don't
have final prices yet, though.

Sounds extremely promising.  I found a local Mazda speed shop who said they
could build a single rotor e-shaft for - wait for it - $3000.  Told them I'd
"think about it...".  Sheesh.  So your heads-up about someone here who is
making them is encouraging.  I think I'll give Neil Hintz (of Sub4) a ring
and see what he has to say...
