It may be heavier now but what is the practical limit in " lightness ".

Not much less than 150 pounds bare engine and 250 pounds firewall forward.
That assumes Mazda does high tech embedded sheet metal end
housings sooner or later and people pay serous attention to PSRU
and prop weight.
