Ian, I think you are on to something there.  I have already gone from
1:100 to about 1:120 (actually "five alligator" to "four alligator" pour
count into a 6-gal can).   Three alligator should make it about 1:150.

I am looking for a slower rise in sump oil, while maintaining that oily
feel on the apex seals.

My notes say 100:1 mix with 130 :1 being too much. So with respect to Ian,
150:1 may still be a little to high.
FWIW.
Don't you mean too little? The race rally crowd in Aus. recommend no more than 150:1  to avoid sump dilution and plug fouling.
