Attached are the 0.063" thick Sbeam simulations with two 1/4" square x 12"
mild steel reinforcements.
Use your own judgment on interpreting these results. :^)

Is there something wrong with the stress chart? The tags say 55,000 psi
and green says 32,000 to 49,000. The lower deformation near the
center is consistent with less stress. I am happy with the 1/4 inch
key stock 12 inches long. We are going with it as I speak.
The keys got rid of the high stress around the cutout.
That is all now down in the light blue or below.
Also of course the aluminum end plates are not incorporated
but that is OK. No need to do it over.

When I select continuous coloring, (versus discrete) it is often
hard to tell where the border between stress quantities lies.
Here are the results with the color bands selected. (This is just
changing the output plot. No major effort involved.)

It does not look like the 12 inch long key stock is overlapping the bolt
bushing by an 1.5 inches. See the last dwg attachment.
