just received an e-mail from Eric Barger at Thermofan (RotaMax).  I made
an inquiry about availability and costs.  His answer:

"Single rotor 650cc, available for order in September, delivery to begin
in November.  5,000 for a single and 7,500 for a dual."

Its tempting to pick up one of the single rotors and play with it.  Does
anybody local here in S. Calif have a test stand?  Not that I don't
trust published numbers, I just don't trust them until I test them.  I
asked Barger for hp, torque and fuel consumption curves.  If they just
finished a 100 hr test, I would suspect they have some.

PS:  just heard from Bernie Kerr.  Seems to be doing ok.  I was
concerned because someone in the RV set told me he'd had a heart attack.

Are these the Moller engine in disguise.

I can't find anything on Google. Do you have the web address site for them.

Paul, as near as I can figure, these are liquid cooled and charge cooled OMC
engines.  They are not the same as the Moller units.  They do not have the
more sophisticated ignition or fuel injection.  They appear to be industrial
units.  This isn't necessarily bad, but until we have some out and can play
with them, who knows how good they really are.  One thing that does concern
me a bit is that both Moller's website and one of the ThermoFan press
releases suggest that they have had to develop some kind of special coating
for the combustion section.  They use aluminum housings and I get the
impression that other companies using aluminum have had some problems.
ThermoFan is supposed to be supplying this to Moller.  From their website,
it appears that ThermoFan is a bonifide trucking industry supplier.  Moller
has announced that his company is trying to cut a deal with a Swiss company
to produce the same engine for the markets that don't below to ThermoFan.

I am not so enamored of the charge cooling but lets hope this company makes it.
Unless the coating is detonation gun I don't hold out much hope for it.
