Hi Paul,
I was talking to Dave earlier and he pointed out to me that you asked
how the Turbo Mustang was going. It is now a Renesis Mustang 2 nearing
completion. I changed engines to reduce weight and get into the new
LSA category that will be in place in the next six months. The
reduction of the turbo and manifold is some 40 lb. I will make the
1320 lbs as this is what we believe to be passed if not more for the
MTO. I will send some more photos once the Gull wing doors are painted
and refitted. As I said before the firewall forward is almost complete
and I should finish in the next few weeks. I will move the Mustang out
to Serpentine in the new year as I will receive the Pulsar around the
12 th January and will need the space in my garage. My hanger will be
full then with three planes in it. I hope to have the Mustang at
startup in January if all go's well with the electric and Tracy's
computer and monitoring system. Me and Ian have been working together
as we are using Tracy's computer and monitor. Ian is good at the
electrics and has been very helpful with making the harness for me. I
have been getting some hours up in tail daggers for the coming event.
More practice is still needed.
