I agree with everything that Paul said about the need for a waist gate.  I
think it is preferable to NOT remove it, but instead do a mod like paul
illustrates.  Even better, if I were starting over I would use a Large
TO4 type turbo with a large external waste gate.

I didn't decide to use the turbo at all until very late in the
installation process.  As a consequence I don't have room for anything
other than the stock manifold and turbine housing.
