   Can someone tutor me on MAP vs. BAR of PSI of Boost.  I have only run
   turbos in auto applications.


   Hans

   MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) is usually given in absolute inches of
   mercury or Hg.
   Auto guys speak in terms of boost over atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric
   pressure is near 15 psi or 29" Hg in absolute pressure terms.
   45 inches of Hg (Mercury) is therefor about 7.5 psi boost.
