I am new to group and my question is ,can I get 100-120 HP from a single
rotor B13 or B20 engine???

Would the mods be super extensive?

Well in theory you can but the weight will be quite high for 100 to 120
HP. In the ball park of 200 pounds. Richard Sohn is working on aluminum
end housings with iron wear surfaces but he may be a year or more away
from a viable engine.

You might say the mods are extensive. You will need a new e-shaft
and a special counter weight. To get 120 HP you will need to p-port
the rotor housing.

Paul's correct, you will need a short e-shaft, which can be expensive. Hayes
I believe, sells inexpensive cast shafts, but I don't know how strong they
would be and if they would stand up to Aviation use.
The Weight will be approx 240lbs to 260 lbs( all up)- pretty high,
considering the 13B (2 rotor) is approx 320- 350 lbs.
P-port is the way to go to get more than 100 hp - how much more is unknown,
however high compression rotors might help. I've decided to use the RX8
rotors (highest compression).
