Hi Paul:  The rotary engine project on my dyno started because I wanted
a lighter engine for my project plane.  A Murphy Super Rebel.  Murphy
then came out with their Moose plane powered with the Russian designed
M14P.  I talked with several Moose flyers and have concluded the Moose
is too heavy for the wing.  The plane was originally designed with a
gross weight of 2500 lbs and as the Moose it has been raied to 3500lbs.
To add to the problem I have amphibious floats for the plane and they
weigh about 500lbs.  Therefore a lighter engine capable of 250hp is
needed.

I have been to Tracy Crooks forums and am convinced the rotary is the
best plan but because I have zero first hand experience with the rotary
I bought a junk 12A car for the engine and mounted it to my dyno. My
project partner died two years ago and I have not done further work on
the project.  The is only a bit more to do to run the engine.

Looks like you will need a p-port 20B (3 rotor) for the Moose
with a constant speed prop.

We had a guy on here for awhile selling a 3 rotor Moose partially
completed. Barny did you sell it?

Let me know when you get the 12A started. I'll pop over there
through the Antelope valley in the RX8.
