Hi Paul:  Yes, the 3 rotor p port looks like the best plan.  However I
have learned those engines were not sold in the US.  Where would I get
one and how much will one cost?

The rotary has some qualities that really appeal to me.  One of which is
that I have been told there is plenty of warning prior to engine
mechanical failure.  though I know a person who was driving a Mazda when
a counterweight let go and caused a catastrophic failure.  what can you
tell me about that.

Another quality I like is the surface to volume ratio is such that the
engine should be more tolerant of high boost pressures better than a
valved piston engine; though the high surface to volume ratio degrades
the BSFC somewhat.

The missing hot exhaust valve is also a plus.
