Hello Paul and Mark,
I purchased a prop from Lonnie Prince for my Mustang 2. The cost was
around $850 US and is wood with carbon fiber covering. Size is 68X78 P
Tip. Info given to Lonnie was the Renesis engine at 250 hp at 8500
rpm and
3000 prop rpm. I figured with the extra breathing of the engine
without the Renesis restrictive manifold there would be a bit more
than 250 hp there. Any extra hp will be a bonus.

What speeds were you shooting for with that pitch, Don? Also - I
presume it is a 2-blade. I am surprised that a 2 blade was determined
to be able to absorb 250HP. The other places I've talked to have said
at 70" or below a 3 blade was necessary.

Here are some pics that show a 250 HP 2 blade design.
You just need wider blades.
We got a guy named Butch that lives out in the woods that builds beautiful
stuff and then it disappears into a black hole and we never hear from
him again :)

Now that what I want to build for the three bladed hub:)
Beautiful.

I have all the dwg not to mention a couple of hundread hours
work helping design it. Perry Mick built the carbon fiber blades and
could, with enough "grease", make another set :)
Bill Freeman did all the work on the blade design.

Paul, Perry, Bill, Butch and others,
You guys are amazing. What other secrets are you hiding? Muffler bearings
to smooth out the exhaust? So I suppose a three blade hub would need to be
made out of a billet. Say did I mention I have use of a machine for mocking
up three dimensional parts? Assume I will have the guys in the shop make
this hub. For the prop I don't mind paying a pro to make it. I have more
than my fill working with composites:) First I would like to know the
results of the prop testing of in North Carolina? Its been there a year now.
BTW the Warp drive blades arrived today, Sunday, at noon. Now I know why
shipping was so expensive. You sent it courier rate. They have three rates
at Fed. Express for overseas delivery. My fault though, I should have
warned you. Freight rates, ie from Tracy cost $50 for the same volume and
approx. weight. but take 4 to 5 days to arrive.
A little epoxy ought to fix those blades up well enough to use for testing.
The nice thing about carbon fiber is that even when burnt they are already
carbonized:)
The roots are fine shape though.I am trying to think of an easy hub that is
adjustable that I can weld together.
Thanks again for sending them.

Make the hub out of two aluminum 1/2 thick plates with split block clamps
for the blades. Loosen the clamp bolts to adjust the blade angle.
Spacers for the prop bolts. Crude but simple. Here is a 3D
She gave me only two choices on the shipping. $181 or $171 for two days
later. I said what the heck it is only $10 more :)
No cheap choice at all. If she ripped me off I'll report her
to Fed Ex.
